WOULD YOU VACUUM PACK YOUR
SOFA??
NOT GOOD. Here are some
examples of mattresses that have been vacuum packed for delivery which we bought
from a couple of memory foam companies on the internet.
At The Memory Foam Mattress Firm we
send out all of our mattresses the traditional way in its true form ready to fit
straight on to your Bed.
You can spend £100's on a good quality mattress, it is unfair
to squash the mattress so much that it could be permanently damages just to so
your supplier can save on money on your delivery costs
Vacuum packing highly damages the product, after doing a small amount of
research this is obvious
People who buy from companies using poor quality foam or mattresses made in
other country’s like china will have more problems when trying to expand a
vacuum packed mattress or product
Most companies who supply memory foam mattresses, vacuum / compress pack their
mattresses to save costs on delivery.
They do this by squeezing all the air out of your mattress making it flat like a
pancake then rolling it up tight.
Customers who receive a vacuum / compress roll packed mattress will notice that
the foam could be damaged and may not expand 100% back to its original size.
Also the memory foam and the cover can be creased.
The only benefit to vacuum / compress packing is to the
company selling you your mattress as it is much cheaper to send by courier due
to the mattress being the size of a small box.
Vacuum packing can permanently damage the core structure of the foam unit giving
an uneven surface and prolonging the life of your mattress.
At The Memory Foam Mattress Firm we
send out all of our mattresses the traditional way in its true form ready to fit
straight on to your Bed.
Below is a selection of
images of mattresses one week after we took them out of the Vacuum packing
Note that this was meant to
be a 10 inch mattress , however it has only expanded to around 7.5 inches after
been vacuum packed - and that is after one week out of the packaging, we doubt
it will return back to its normal size of 10 inches!!!
